Concentrates

The amount of concentration in each product is the most significant difference.

With a ratio of 2.5 to 1 split, Dysport is more diluted than Botox.

Price / Costs

Naturally, it’s tempting to assume that Dysport will be more expensive than Botox due to the units required, but this is not the case.

Botox is more expensive than Dysport per unit as 1 unit of Botox is equivalent to 2.5 units of Dysport.

Spread

Dysport’s molecular behavior and diffusion are also distinct.

With just a few injections, this makeup distributes quickly, especially across a greater surface area.

Results

Typically you can expect faster visible results with Dysport (2 – 3 days) compared to Botox and Xeomin (7 – 9 days).

Suitability

As a result, the distinctions boil down to how each injectable is administered by your doctor. For specific locations, a doctor may employ both:

Botox is more suited for smaller areas such as Lip lines, Crow’s feet, and other tiny creases.  It is slow-moving and has a high concentration, making it ideal for compact spaces.

Dysport is suitable for larger surface regions, such as the forehead. It’s a quick-acting substance that spreads swiftly and uniformly.
