The answer is no. Fractional RF is not only effective against acne scarring, it is also an effective natural healing response that stimulates skin tightening, cell regeneration and collagen production. Fractional RF is very popular for skin tightening.
Although the downtime is minimal, we always recommend patients to keep the face bare at least for the day. This is to ensure your face get the proper recovery without any disruption. However putting make up will not have any adverse effect on the patient.
To get the maximum effect, you should wait approximately 2 weeks for a noticeable improvement. However, we do have patients who can see an immediate result after the treatment. With consistency of the treatment, you can see a increased improvement over the following months.
Typically, there is a very minimal recovery time for Fractional RF. Depending on individuals, there may be some redness after the treatment, however it will generally subside within a few hours. We do strongly recommend you avoid sun exposure for 1 week.
Most treatment with Fractional RF is usually done on the face & neck to tighten skin. It can be also targeted at the lips and eyelids to reduce signs of aging. Although it’s rare, it can also be used on parts of the body.
